gibraltar downs..

Now for the bad news, and I have to say it wasn't the luckiest holiday I've had. The holiday was a great blast for a while, but it didn't stay that way for the whole duration.

Negatives:

  • I left my passport on the plane and was from then on known as 'Passport Girl' with everyone checking that I handed my passport in every time we crossed the border.
  • We warmed up for too long on our first match meaning we grew tired faster.
  • Not only did we finish worn out, but we lost by 27 goals.. which isn't a great result.
  • When we were stood in the boy's room, Kwaku played 'Radioactive' on his phone which of course played over and over in our minds for the rest of the holiday.
  • The next day we returned to our hotel room to discover 2 of our phones missing! We searched the room over and over and knew that we hadn't misplaced them somewhere. This meant someone had stolen them. The final total: £170 an iPhone and a Huawei phone were taken. I was obviously the unluckiest roommate!
  • Then we had our door lock checked to find someone trying to enter our room at 4 and 5.30 in the morning - pretty creepy..
  • Due to the thefts, the 4 of us in the room spent some of the day down by the police station. However, none of them seemed to understand us because they only spoke Spanish so it took a little longer translation-wise.
  • Stupidly, when buying our cable-car tickets, most of us chose to buy the cheaper ones which were one-way.. this involved walking 6km down the rock rather than a simple cable car journey.
  • To top it all off, I dropped my Health Card in the dark and have to face school on Monday to find it.

Hope you liked the insight to my life as much as I did!;-)

Adios,

Beth x
