Secret Garden Party.

What can I say? I love festivals.

We've been going to festivals as a family since Zoë and I were about.. 6 years old? So we quite enjoy and understand festival life. They're a great way to de-stress and just chill out. And the beauty is that not all festivals are the same, even the ones you may visit annually. Because everything gets rotated and mixed up a little or eventually it would feel just like that family trip that you're forced to go on, as it becomes monotonous and mundane.

Festivals also arrive with a rating on the chill factor, from 1 (hippie-chill) - 10 (party-chill). Sunrise would be under the 1/2 rating. I'm quite certain that festival was all about the 'high', environmental appreciation. A festival like Glastonbury may be a 9/10 since it's so restless with the nightlife, however it still  resides in the freedom of the outdoors. Simply based on my first experience of anything close to Glastonbury, I'd place Secret Garden party in the middle. It had the aspects of a crazy night, yet the daytime appreciated relaxation.

Obviously I won't leave you without some fun tales. So we met some interesting friends of The Adults'. In all fairness, on first meeting many were drunk or just very 'into the music'. They were fun nonetheless. Below is Chris, awfully funny guy. He just kept repeating "Selfie", thinking he was down with the kids, which as you can tell was true.

On a less exciting note, this same night we returned to our tent to discover it had been ransacked. I don't mean someone had moved things slightly and left, I mean my bag was half hanging out the door and the tent was covered in our items. Everything was scattered across the midsection of the tent, where they had tipped out the contents of our bags. We believe they spotted our remaining cider cans and imagined we may have had something more elsewhere. I think Zoë was a bit offended they didn't take some of her expensive gear which was quite funny.

(Stole Zoë's picture, don't judge me!)

Adios,

Beth x
