How To Survive Work

Since nothing happened today, I thought I would share with you the ways of surviving work - as I volunteered in the shop today:

  1. Start with a positive attitude, always have a motivator.. something you need to get back to or something you are looking forward to soon!
  2. Make sure you set a personal time piece 5 minutes behind so you can check the time and look at the work clock and skip 5 minutes! (A personal favourite of mine :') )
  3. Always go in with supplies, either take a couple from the biscuit tin just in case, or enter with a few biscuits in your pockets.
  4. Look slightly gloomy whenever a colleague looks over at you so they take pity and have a small conversation 'to cheer you up' but really it helps speed up a few more minutes of work happily! Mwahaha!
  5. (If in a shop) Try to look as adorable as possible to attract customers so there is more to do, as work is boring otherwise.
  6. Never think negatively, if you are, you have left out or not done one of the steps correctly.
The main message of this was to keep you in the right frame of mind when working.. Have fun or there is no point in even getting up to do the work! All of these stages make my work days much more enjoyable and interesting.

Quote Of The Day:

Me: Next week could be my last week of working here because I will have finished with my Duke Of Edinburgh volunteering.

David: Aw, well you will be missed by me! :-( However, I may have forgotten your name a couple of weeks later.

Aw how lovely to know the effect I have! But it had to be ruined with the mention of his forgetfulness..

Adios,

Beth x
